WISTS was established to provide a more personal and responsive alternative in an industry that can often feel impersonal.
Too many businesses are left navigating call centres, online systems and generic solutions while trying to keep important cargo moving. WISTS was created to close that gap.
Backed by three decades of industry expertise, we combine practical logistics knowledge with close client relationships. We take time to understand how each business operates, what the cargo requires and where the real risks and pressure points lie. We then build a solution around those realities.
Our goal is not simply to arrange a shipment. It is to become a trusted extension of the client's business.

Founder story
From the Filing Room to the Helm
Dheshree Chetty's shipping career began in Durban in 1996, when she volunteered at Kien Hung Shipping and started by organising the company's filing room. There was no shortcut to leadership — only an opportunity to learn the industry from the ground up.
As the business changed through acquisitions by United Ships Agency and later Hamburg Sud, Dheshree grew across operations, customer service, sales and management. Her career later took her to Maersk as a senior sales executive and to Sharaf Shipping, where she became its first Indian female branch manager. In 2013, she received the Business Women's Association Corporate Category award.
In 2014, she opened Women In Shipping for the first time. The business ran for four years before closing after the loss of its largest account. Dheshree returned to corporate shipping, joining Hapag-Lloyd and taking on senior responsibilities spanning national sales, customer service, minerals and metals, and a major customer-service transition.
By January 2025, she had brought her entrepreneurial vision back to life through WISTS — with more experience, deeper resilience and a clearer determination to make logistics more personal.
